Wishing You Happy Valentine's Day!!!. It is the 14Th of February and the happy and cool environment around me. Today is a day for amore. Of course, this morning while we were drinking our coffee, I admitted to Jim that I hadn't bought him a card, and that's when he admitted he hadn't bought me one either. Could we be any more romantic??? So we went off on our separate ways with the ultimate goal of buying each other a Valentine's Day card. A goal which we both succeed at, even though there were very few cards to choose from on Valentine's Day afternoon! Note to self, next year do not wait until the day of to buy a card!! I did get to do a little thrift store shopping, during which I found some wonderful treasures. I found the cutest list antique oak footstool, which I'll be re-upholstering.
I got some really nice fabric and some beaded trim. I also found a small suitcase, which I'm going to paint white. I share the before and after pictures with you, because I think they're really going to look nice when I'm finished. After I finished shopping and Jim finished up at the club, we went out for dinner. We were going to go to Applebee's, but they were way too busy. So we went across the street to a local Mexican restaurant that has fantastic authentic Mexican food. It's a fairly undiscovered restaurant, so we were able to get a table right away, and it was also more quiet, so we were able to talk and share what with each other what we had done all day. Not the most romantic Valentine's day, but nice. And I loved the card Jim got for me.
